I am Hendrika, and I had the opportunity to try and review this DT Collagen Exfoliating Cleanser as a Beauty Content Creator/Influencer and as such I have 15+ years of experience with trying out skincare, hair care and cosmetic products. My combination to dry and mature skin is still prone to hormonal breakouts and finding products that help fight acne without drying out or stripping my skin is not always easy. I like that this exfoliating foaming face wash thoroughly cleans my skin and pores and removes dead skin and sebum but is gentle for my skin and keeps my skin feeling hydrated. I only need one to two pumps of the nice foaming cleanser to cover my whole face. I massage it onto my wet skin in circular motions. I love the nice foaming lather that feels so gentle on my skin. I love that I can use this cleanser when I want to treat a breakout but that it is gentle enough to use even daily. My skin feels very smooth, soft, and clean after using this foaming face wash. There is no tight or dry feeling at all. My irritated skin feels soothed and is ready for the next steps in my skincare routine. As someone who has dealt with acne most of my life, I have tried numerous cleansers claiming to work, but will leave my skin severely dry, red, irritated, and only worked for so long. DT Collagen’s Exfoliating Cleanser is potent stuff, and if you have clogged pores, this will clean ‘em up in no time.Very Workable Even for Dry Skin: It’s important for me to mention that I have fundamentally normal-to-dry skin, and the Exfoliating Cleanser isn’t something I can or would use daily. For my needs, this is a twice weekly cleanser for my nighttime routine. The combination of acids are at effective levels, so if you have combination or oily skin, you may be able to use this every other day or even daily. Dry-skinned beauties need to use this sparingly to avoid irritation.The Pink Foam Makes Me Smile: It’s been decades since I thought of B12’s red color, so I was surprised when I saw the foam in this pump bottle. That pink hue is a visual reminder that there are healing ingredients in this cleanser that will benefit all skin types.Closing Thoughts: When it comes to acid-based cleansers, DT Collagen is wildly effective. You can definitely tell with this cleanser especially that this is a pharmaceutical & dermatology-focused cleanser. This cleanser is unlike any cleanser I’ve used before in how it performs and what it does. I’ve used many many cleansers, and while this appears like your typical foam cleanser at first, it’s much more. For being an exfoliating cleanser with salicylic and lactic acid in it, it’s sooo gentle, soft, and silky. It has a slightly sweet scent, not chemically at all. These are two power ingredients that I love, for true chemical exfoliation, which in my opinion works much better and gentler in the skin that physical scrubs. I love how all the products I’ve tried so far from DT Collagen are so gentle and yet SO powerful. It is recommended that you try this cleanser 1-2 a week and then slowly build up. For me, I was able to use every other night without any issue. I love the applicator on this eye cream - it is a metal ball roller-type applicator and is very cooling/soothing to the undereye area. The formula of this eye cream is great - it's very hydrating and soothing. I could immediately tell a difference in the severity of my dark circles and puffiness. Though I have not been using this product long, I am already pleased with the results. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of long-term benefits it may have.
