Why Is My Skin So Dry?

Several factors can cause dry skin, such as environmental conditions, lifestyle choices, and underlying health issues. For example, cold weather, low humidity, and exposure to harsh winds can strip your skin of its natural moisture, resulting in dryness. Similarly, using hot water for showers or baths and harsh soaps or detergents can worsen the condition.  Other factors contributing to dry skin include aging, losing its natural oils over time, and certain medical conditions like eczema or psoriasis. Dehydration and inadequate nutrition can also impact your skin’s hydration levels. Identifying and modifying these contributing factors is essential to address dry skin.
